Before pixels, apps, Google and Wikipedia, books were messengers of culture and entertainment. The history of our profession was born during a fifteenth century, rich in cultural evolutions that reinforce the foundations of a unique Italy in the world and of all that is communication today. An artisan and design knowledge that was born by printing 5 million books in Venice with Von Speyer, Manuzio and Griffo.

Over the centuries, through the genius of Giambattista Bodoni, they illuminate Italy all over the world. We are home to creativity, culture and design. But we are dwarfs sitting on the shoulders of these and other giants that we want to honor through a line of artifacts for the house.

In these years of little luck for books and for all culture, in which it is thought that printing is dead and everything becomes "light"... we wanted to start from Venice and give the book a new identity. A new look and a new function. To introduce you to a new concept of book. A book not made of stories, characters, actions, but... A book made of looks. Looks, understandings, moments... lived together.

Prima dei pixel, delle app, Google e Wikipedia, erano i libri a essere messaggeri di cultura e intrattenimento. La storia del nostro mestiere nasce durante un XV secolo, ricchissimo di evoluzioni culturali che rinforzano le basi di un’Italia unica nel mondo e di tutto quello che è oggi la comunicazione. Un sapere artigiano e progettuale che nasce stampando 5 milioni di libri a Venezia con i Von Speyer, Manuzio e Griffo.

Nei secoli, tramite il genio di Giambattista Bodoni, illuminano l’Italia in tutto il mondo. Siamo patria della creatività, della cultura e del design. Siamo però dei nani seduti sulle spalle di questi e altri giganti che vogliamo onorare attraverso una linea di artefatti per la casa.

In questi anni di poca fortuna per i libri e per tutta la cultura, in cui si pensa che la stampa sia morta e tutto si fa “luce”… volevamo ripartire da Venezia e donare al libro una nuova identità. Un nuovo aspetto e una nuova funzione. Per introdurvi ad un nuovo concetto di libro. Un libro non fatto di storie, personaggi, azioni, ma... un libro fatto di sguardi. Occhiate, intese, momenti… vissuti assieme.
